NFC’s Mohamed Salleh to be charged today?

The MACC is expected to charge a top official from NFC today.

FMT ALERT

KUALA LUMPUR: It is learnt that the police will be preferring several charges against several top officials from the National Feetlot Corporation (NFCorp) today.
The individuals are expected to be arrested first and then brought to court to face charges.
According to a deputy public prosecutor, NFCorps’ CEO Mohamed Salleh Ismail would be among those charged today.
Journalists have started gathering at the Jalan Duta Court Complex since early morning to wait for the matter to be brought before the court.
National Feetlot Centre (NFC) project, aimed at helping the country reduce beef import, has been embroiled in a controversy since opposition PKR blew the lid on the RM250 million contract scandal late last year.
NFC is managed by National Feedlot Corporation, a company run by Shahrizat Abdul Jalil’s husband Mohamed Salleh and children.
Shahrizat yesterday announced that she will step down as the Women, Family and Community Development Minister when her term as a Senator ends on April 8.
The police have been investigating the NFCorp directors for cheating and possible crimina breach of trust.
